Bombshell: Lily Cole
I went to go see the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus today with Morgan and was astounded by a face I had never seen before. Her name? Lily Cole. At only 21 years old, the English born bombshell began modeling in 2003, and was named 'Model of the Year' at the British Fashion Awards just a year after her photographic debut. Characterized by her bright red hair, pale skin, blue eyes, and neotenous facial features paired with an outrageous body (think legs for miles), she has appeared in Vogue numerous times and has landed advertising campaigns with Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Hermès, Tiffany, and Longchamp, just to name a few. In 2008, Cole posed for French Playboy. Check this beauty out:

Coachella or Bust
Well, the official Coachella lineup was released yesterday. It looks a little something like this:

Umm.... are you kidding me?
I've been wanting to attend the Coachella Arts and Music festival in Indio, CA since high school. I have a feeling that this is going to be the year all my dreams are going to come true.

Turban train
Turbans - they aren't just for Arabs and cancer patients anymore. Even though the turban trend is rooted in the Arab tradition, the style was adopted in the fifties and sixties by glam-azons and fashionistas alike. The turban reappeared on the runway in 2007 in Prada's Spring/Summer line. Check out these classic styles and modern day renditions of the turban:

You're amazingly from here
I watched Taking Woodstock tonight. Although nothing can replace Almost Famous (in my book), this movie came pretty damn close. I think that I am just enamored with the 1960s in general - the music, the fashion, the free-spirited mindset, and everything in between. I never really knew much about how Woodstock was born. Before seeing the movie, I definitely did not comprehend the magnitude of it: a half of a million people attended the festival! I couldn't even imagine what it would have been like to experience it. Times were certainly different back then, that's for sure.

I can't believe that today is the last day of 2009. They year "2010" sounds so futuristic. My hypothetical children are probably going to think I'm an old dinosaur for being born in the 1900's.
As for resolutions go, I don't make them, so I don't have one. Usually, New Year's resolutions have to do with bad habits and I'm not ready to give up on all of mine yet. Besides, I don't believe that behaviors can be flipped on and off like a light-switch. I think that they change gradually over time.
Wishing you all a happy New Year! Try to avoid the roads and please be safe!
Until next year,
XX

Home is wherever I'm with you
The past couple of days have been action-packed with family activities. Usually around this time of year, we drive to Palm Desert for a few days but this year, my mom thought it would be a good idea to go on a "stay-cation" instead. I'm all familied-out.
