Our dear cat, Polly, passed away this past weekend. She was not even 4-years-old. We miss her terribly already. May she rest in peace.

As of yesterday, I have imposed a detox/body-cleansing strategy upon myself. The goal is: a week without cigarettes, alcohol, meat, carbonated beverages, sugar, and (gulp) bread. Fruits, veggies, water, and exercise will be emphasized. Today is Day 2 and I'm feeling confident and strong!

It's another beautiful day in San Diego, making me wish I could post up beachside in one of these gorgeous retro campers. Swoon.

Just wanted to drop in for a quick hello. My best friend from Colorado is here visiting. Unfortunately, she leaves today, but we have had an awesome time together. Over the weekend, we went camping at the La Jolla Indian Reservation and yesterday we made a significant killing at the thrift-shops. My finds of the day included a vintage suitcase and 3 maxi dresses from the late 1960's/early 1970's. In the next couple of days, I will be preparing for a new batch of Lazybones lovelies to be released in the wild. A sneak preview will be coming soon!

I am happy to report that I made it home in one piece and that it feels good. Since I've been home, I have been taking advantage of the simple things in life: soft sheets, plush towels, clean clothes, American breakfasts, and the English language.

Now please excuse while I battle relentlessly with my jet-lag!
