Last night, I had my friend (and now-neighbor), Julia, over for dinner. We both had soup-making plans for dinner, so we decided to combine forces and have a soup party. I made a carrot-apple-ginger soup and she made a butternut squash-sweet potato-coconut milk soup. Not only did the colors look pretty together, the taste of one soup perfectly complimented the other it seemed - the sweet, creamy butternut squash soup was contrasted by the bite and saltiness of the carrot-apple-ginger soup. We also had a lot of fun in the kitchen making dinner together!
